For the biggest IP launch of the year, PlayStation negotiated unprecedented content exclusives. We needed to get the word out to make sure people bought Destiny on our platform over anyone else's... with a tagline that our partners at Activison and Bungie were happy with.
The Ultimate Destiny Experience is Only On PlayStation saw use in national TV spots, print ads, and end caps for the next three years.
Destiny sold 60% better on PlayStation 4 over Xbox One.
Playstation VR | TUTORIAL VIDEOS
Set-up videos are usually a drag. We didn't want that.
I was tapped by marketing VPs to support the global PS VR launch by (among other things) writing intros that reflected some of the core PlayStation brand pillars I'd also defined: smart, cheeky, fun.
We even got some good reviews... not something normally associated with set-up videos.
MONSTER | N'CREDIBLE HEADPHONES
Electronics manufacturer Monster partnered with actor/rapper/producer Nick Cannon and his N'Credible brand to release a line of headphones built on the same technology as Beats by Dr. Dre.
For the initial promo video, Monster assembled a few bands managed by N'Credible, a rooftop... and a tagline supplied by me.
